4.) How much do you pay Dwight Powell?

The second year forward becomes an restricted free agent this offseason and it puts the Mavs in a sticky situation heading into the summer. The 6’10” youngster from Stanford came over in the Rondo trade and has shown glimpses of a solid player at times.

The real question is how do the Mavs view him. He struggles on the defensive end and doesn’t have a consistent jump shot but screams athleticism and does a decent job on the boards. At times during the season he was one of the first guys off the bench, but towards the end of the season and into the playoffs Powell found himself logging DNP-CD most games.

If the Mavs view him as a future starter how much will they pay? If they view him as a solid role player off the bench, how much will they pay? What will Powell get on the open market from other teams?

These are all questions worth answering this offseason.
