5.) Will the Mavs trade up on draft night?

We all know what happens to the Mavericks’ first round pick this year, since the Mavs didn’t finish with a bottom seven record in the league, the pick goes to the Boston Celtics in the Rajon Rondo trade last December.

Now the Mavs go into draft night this year only possessing a late second round pick. It’s worth noting that Dallas usually doesn’t do much with their second round picks, let alone actually picking someone.

But with it looking like they got a pick right in Justin Anderson last year and the need to get younger in some of Dirk’s last year’s, moving up into the back of the first round isn’t impossible for the Mavs.

Although its unlikely, this will be a question worth answering this offseason.
