J.J. Barea OUT, Deron Williams DOUBTFUL for Game 2

Adding to the misery in Dallas, J.J. Barea has declared himself OUT of Game 2 with a strained right groin while Deron Williams is DOUBTFUL with a sports hernia.
During the massacre in Oklahoma City on Saturday night, J.J. Barea aggravated his right groin in a play that could have a lasting impact on the series. After sitting out for the rest of the game on Saturday, Barea declared at practice that he will miss Game 2 and maybe longer.
ESPN’s Tim MacMahon stated…
Mavs guard J.J. Barea (groin) is out for Game 2. His availability for the rest of the series is uncertain.

The injury news doesn’t stop there as it looks that Deron Williams’ previous sports hernia injury has resurfaced again.
Mavs point guard Deron Williams (sports hernia) will be listed as doubtful for Game 2 against the Thunder, coach Rick Carlisle.

This would immediately take the starting backcourt off the court for the Dallas Mavericks and force Raymond Felton and Devin Harris to log heavy minutes at the guard spots. On a positive note, this could open up the door for more minutes for Justin Anderson. Barea and Williams will join David Lee, Jeremy Evans, and Chandler Parsons on the injury list and unable to play.
Besides maybe Memphis, there isn’t a team in the playoffs that is as injury riddled as the Mavs right now. Look for them to battle again on Monday night in Game 2 versus the Thunder.
