DALLAS MAVERICKS vs SAN ANTONIO SPURS Game 6 Halftime Report

Spurs lead series 3-2

Mavericks lead 58-52

The Dallas Mavericks just finished arguably their best half in this first-round series with the San Antonio Spurs.

Dirk Nowitzki 6-of-10 for 12 points as he and the Mavs look to tie this series and force a Game 7 back in San Antonio on May 4.

Jose Calderon had an efficient half as well with nine points and five dimes.

Dallas went up as much as 11 before the Spurs made a small run to cut it back to three.

The Mavericks are trailing in fast-break points, 13-12, but hold the advantage in points in the paint, 30-20, this after the Spurs were 54-28 in Game 5.

After being suspended for Game 5, DeJuan Blair continues to play well as he’s left off where he was from Game 4. He has a game-high nine boards, three on the offensive glass.

Danny Green leads the Spurs with 12 points on 5-of-5 shooting, but all of that came in the opening quarter.

Devin Harris continues to attack as he drew a foul in the final three seconds in both quarters. He was fouled on a 3-point attempt with 0.9 left in the first while went to the line for an and-1 with 2.1 left in the second. He and Monta Ellis both have seven points.

Dallas played its style of basketball in the first, on its way to a 34-26 advantage after one. The 34 points marked a series-high for Dallas for points in a quarter.

Both teams shot 55.6 percent in the first 12 minutes.
