Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki Named Western Conference Player of the Week

With the Dallas Mavericks season coming down to the wire and every win is vital, Dirk Nowitzki is leaving it all out on the court.
The NBA has named that Nowitzki has been named the NBA player of the week of the Western Conference. Al Jefferson took the same honors for the Eastern Conference.
The Big German led the Mavericks to a 3-1 week. With the only loss coming to the Golden State Warriors that ended with a no-call on a goal tend.
Nowitzki averaged 25.3 points while shooting 55.7% from the field and 56.5% from 3. He also added 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and just 1 turnover per game.
Nowitzki, 35, is averaging 21.6 points and 6.6 rebounds this season.
This is the first time this season that Nowitzki or any Dallas Mavericks’ player has won the award.

As great as it is for Nowitzki to be acknowledged for his great play, it’s obvious the team’s success is far more important at this point.
