Dirk celebrates another clutch basket and another Mavs win!

Let me just say that I am not a numbers guy.  Numbers are nice, but they can be easily manipulated.  But there are times when numbers do help us to understand a situation or see what took place.  The number 98 is one of those numbers.  98 was the total number of points scored by the Mavericks in their 98-92 victory in Game 3.  The win gives the Mavs a 3 games to none lead over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Can anyone stop Nowitzki?

Game 3 is tonight, with the Dallas Mavericks up 2 games to none against the Los Angeles Lakers.  This game is THE most important game of the series.  Most people are surprised, myself included, that the series has progressed the way that is has.  No one thought that the Lakers would look this bad two games in a row at home.  Now they must go on the road and win without Ron Artest, who was suspended for tonight’s game for his flagrant foul on J.J. Barea in Game 2.
