Dallas Mavs Preview: The Dirk Nowitzki Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game

Dirk Nowitzki is once again hosting his Celebrity Baseball game this season for the Heroes Foundation, tonight at 6:30pm CT. What can MFFLs and all Dallas fans expect to see in the game tonight from all the Dallas icons?

When it comes to Dirk Nowitzki, there’s not much more that we can be surprised by. Not only is he the best player to ever wear the Dallas Mavericks uniform and possibly the best athlete the Dallas area has ever had, he is also as nice and humble and down-to-earth as can be. For that reason, it really isn’t surprising that he hosts a celebrity baseball game every year for the Heroes Foundation.

For those who are unfamiliar with Heroes, it is a Dallas-based foundation focused on giving kids the opportunity to learn and grow while also having a chance to play baseball and other sports. According to the website heroesbb.com…

The foundation is amazing and has helped out a ton of children over the years. Dirk Nowitzki got involved with the foundation years ago and has used it to help him with the Dirk Nowitzki foundation as well. Dirk has been helping children through his foundation for many years as well and one of the big ways he does so is with the celebrity baseball game.

The event will start at 4:30 this evening as the first event is The Heroes Special Olympics All-Star Softball Game. This event will be wonderful and is an amazing event to watch. After that, the pre-game activities will begin at 6:00 before the full baseball game begins at 6:30.

This is a really fun event on its own, but it makes it even more fun when you get to see who all Dirk Nowitzki has brought on to play in the game. Here are a series of tweets showing off who all is going to be there swinging bats with Dirk tonight.
