With Dirk Nowitzki joining the prestigious 30,000 point club, players around the NBA took to social media to share their love for the Big German.

Dirk Nowitzki has finally done it.

Nowitzki, still sitting as the 6th all-time scorer in NBA history, hit a baseline fadeaway for his 30,000th point on Tuesday night. The American Airlines Center was rocking and the emotions were felt throughout the arena as their beloved Dirk accomplished one of the biggest feats of his career.

30,000 total points in his 19 year career.

The arena took notice. Both teams took notice. The coaching staff took notice. Dirk took notice.

The NBA family took notice.

Here are some of the social media reactions from around the league on Tuesday night.

Personally, I’m not the president of LeBron’s fan club, but this video was pretty awesome and classy from the best player in the game today.

We all know the mutual affection that Kobe and Dirk have for each other. Simple, classy tweet from another 30k club member.

Speaking of affectionate…well never mind. Cool to see KG give some love though.

Now we look at some of his former teammates chiming in from over the years of his 19 year career.

Ok, these two could be my favorite. May the 2011 champs never die. The Matrix brings out all of the emotions and memories over here.

*If you haven’t watched the video tribute from former teammates they showed in the arena you need to watch it. Dirk specifically mentioned Nash calling him a ball hog in the video during his post game press conference as everyone shared a laugh. Players such as Jason Terry, Jason Kidd and others joined in on the fun.

When I talked to Tyson earlier in the year about Dirk he specifically called him a brother and talked about how much he loved him. Their friendship is awesome. I miss this guy in Dallas.

Pretty cool for Scottie to chime in.

The Rangers love them some Dirk…like we all. Also, if you haven’t read the Rangers World Series quote from Carlisle about Dirk you need to go to our twitter feed and read it now. A classic one-line from Dirk that should always be remembered.

Now for some of his current teammates.

This is literally just a handful of players around the league and retired that have chimed in through social media praising the legend that Dirk Nowitzki is.

Nowitzki might not get the national media love as some other legends, but those legends know the player that Dirk has been over the last 19 years. The NBA is one big family and it was cool to see everyone share their love for the Big German tonight.
