NBA 2K16 Dallas Mavericks: First Look at Player Ratings and Screenshots

facebooktwitterreddit

If pre-ordered, today marks the day that NBA 2K16 finally releases.

So of course the first team any MFFL has to play with is the Dallas Mavericks. I’m not going to lie, playing with the likes of Matthews, Dirk, and the gang got me even more excited for the season around the corner.

The following is some screenshots from the game along with the first initial player ratings.

*Warning: Not the best of quality of screenshots, but you get the picture

*The graphics in this game continue to amaze me. After making the open shot (in the above picture), Matthews turns and does his patent “arrow shooting” towards the crowd.  Devin Harris is like “What are those!”

*I personally thought 2K bombed their creation of Dirk last year, but this year is a different story. Plus, look at the animated, 3-D crowd.

*One of my favorite things about the game is the improvements to the tattoos. From exact replicas of the players, to now being able to layer/size tattoos on your MyPlayer, 2K has taken it to the next level.

*I have so many questions about these player ratings. First off, Charlie Villanueva is rated 4 points higher than Dwight Powell, 2K seems to agree with me on this one. Also, Chandler Parsons (as mentioned before) is getting snubbed by not being an 80 rating or higher.

For the avid 2K gamers, the game is quite different. There are some button layout differences along with the general style of gameplay that will take some time to get used to. The My Career part of the game is absolutely insane and is a must play when you get the game.

Every year I get the game I tell myself that they can’t get any better with the graphics, but every year I am completely wrong. Go pick up your copy this coming Tuesday.
