Mavs Legend Steve Nash Joining Warriors Staff

Can Stephen Curry possibly get better than what he was? Enter Steve Nash.

According to numerous sources, Steve Nash is set to join the Golden State Warriors staff on a 2-year deal as a player development consultant.

Earlier in the year we seen the 2-time MVP officially retire from the NBA as he struggled over the past couple years of his playing career. After joining the Lakers in the hyped up 2012 summer, Nash (and the other starters) never lived up to that star-studded line-up.

Mavericks fans across the nation will always remember a young Steve Nash that came in through a trade with the Suns in 1998. He spent 6 seasons with the Mavericks and helped a young European by the name of Dirk Nowitzki adjust to the NBA.

So what can Steve Nash do for the Warriors?

More from Mavs News

First, is obviously what he can do for Stephen Curry. I know the guy won MVP last year and had one of the greatest overall basketball seasons in history, but there is always room for improvement.

When Curry first came out of the womb we all knew the kid could shoot, but arguably his biggest improvement over the last two years has been his ability to run the point and distribute to his teammates. Who better to help continue to improve that part of your game than the guy who is number three in all-time assists?

Even though Nash was a member of the Los Angeles Lakers over his last couple of years, he will always be a part of the Mavs family.

On a serious note, I would pay to watch a private workout with Nash and Curry.
