After landing big names such as Chandler Parsons and Tyson Chandler, the Dallas Mavericks are looking to fill the roster with pieces to help the team succeed. The team recently signed Richard Jefferson to replace the vacancy left behind with Vince Carter departing to Memphis. According to reports, the team has found its backup to Dirk Nowitzki.
Yahoo!’s Marc J. Spears reports that the team and Rashard Lewis have agreed on a one year, minimum deal.
Free agent forward Rashard Lewis has agreed to a one-year deal with the Mavericks, his agent Colin Bryant told Yahoo Sports.

Lewis, 34, spent the last two seasons with the Miami Heat. Last season he averaged 4.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, and shot 34.3% from behind the arc. The 60 games are the most he’s played in dating back to the 2009-2010 season when he played in 72 games for the Orlando Magic.
In the five game series loss to the Spurs, Lewis averaged 8.6 points and shot 45.5% from three.
Prior to Lewis, starting small forward and now free agent, Shawn Marion, was the primary backup to Nowitzki.
Lewis holds career averages of 14.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 38.6% from long-range, suiting up for the Seattle Super Sonics, Orlando Magic, Washington Wizards, and Miami Heat.
