Rockets sending Jeremy Lin to Los Angeles Lakers

With every move the Houston Rockets make, we can assume Chandler Parsons‘ future won’t be in Dallas.

The team is looking to shed salary to offer Chris Bosh a max deal and have found a suitor to take on the final deal of Jeremy Lin‘s contract.

Yahoo!’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports,

With the Los Angeles Lakers reportedly out of the running for Carmelo Anthony, they have the necessary cap room to bring on Lin. Lin, 25, holds career averages of 11.9 points and 4.8 assists.

During the 2011-2012 season, “Linsanity” was the craze of New York. He averaged 14.6 points and 6.2 assists in 35 games with the Knicks, which led to the Rockets offering him a 3-year, $25 million contract. With the “poison pill” deal, the Knicks elected to not match.

Once the trade becomes official and the Rockets move Omer Asik, we can assume Bosh and Parsons will be donning Houston uniforms next season.
