Mavericks, Chandler Parsons agree to 3-year offer worth more than $45 million

The Dallas Mavericks came into free agency looking for a “big fish” free agent and had meetings with Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James‘ agent. It appears they were unable to land either one of those players, though they haven’t officially been ruled out yet. No reports have either James or Anthony considering Dallas though.

So with players free to sign starting Thursday July 10, the Mavericks made a move agreeing to terms on an offer sheet for Houston Rockets restricted free agent Chandler Parsons, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.

The all and powerful Woj, aka Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo, had a follow up report that specified $46 million as the dollar amount.

The Houston Rockets had been negotiating with Parsons throughout the day but couldn’t come to an agreement.
