Mavericks close to locking up deal with Vince Carter

Some free agent dominos are beginning ton fall as teams try to entice the “big fish” free agents. The Miami Heat made a series of moves agreeing to deals with the Danny Granger and Josh McRoberts.

The Dallas Mavericks are pushing an offer sheet for Houston Rockets forward Chandler Parsons. The Mavericks also appear to be set to bring back shooting guard Vince Carter according to a report from Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Dwain Price. CBS’s Ken Berger confirmed the report because in free agency you can never have enough sources confirming a story with rampant speculation everywhere.

Not to say that Price isn’t a reliable source.

Carter has been a solid player for the Mavericks and an affordable one at that, hopefully for the Mavericks’ sake he is taken another team friendly deal, following Dirk Nowitzki‘s lead, that makes him a bargain as they look to bring in more free agents.
