Houston Rockets Plan B Is Chris Bosh

The Houston Rockets are currently in the hunt for Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James, but may already have their eyes set on a backup plan.

ESPN’s Marc Stein has reported that the Rockets plan on pursuing Miami Heat’s free agent forward Chris Bosh if the Anthony and James don’t chose Houston to be their new home.

The Rockets also had Dallas Mavericks’ star Dirk Nowitzki on their long shot target list.

Bosh’s ability to play with other stars and spread the court would make him an ideal target for the Rockets, who currently have stars James Harden and Dwight Howard on the roster.

Bosh’s future in Miami may be in the hands of James. Jame’s future with the Heat is in doubt, and if he elects to leave, Bosh may be looking for a new home as well.

Free agency has been quiet as a whole, but is expected to pick up once Anthony and James determine their futures. The Mavericks, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and New York Knicks are also waiting on Anthony’s decision before making other moves.
