Mark Cuban on Carmelo Anthony meeting: 'No tours, no banners, all basketball and business'

When Carmelo Anthony went to visit with the Chicago Bulls and the Houston Rockets, there was noticeable signage outside their respective arenas depicting Anthony in their respective uniforms.

When reporters showed up to the American Airlines Center they noticed that things were completely different, not signage and no college football recruiting tactics. In fact, they didn’t even meet at the arena instead meeting at a private and undisclosed location.

Afterwards owner Mark Cuban gave the Mavericks fanbase an update on his app “Cyber Dust” about how the meetings went.

It is a different approach that might make the Mavericks stand out. How drastically different can NBA locker rooms and weight rooms be in all seriousness?

Instead the Mavericks focused on the things that really mattered, and possibly in a more relaxed setting that allowed Anthony to feel more comfortable. A feeling that might stick around when he is making a decision.
