The Dallas Mavericks have concluded their meeting with prized free agent Carmelo Anthony. The meeting reportedly lasted over two hours.
The team plans on sticking out the pursuit of Anthony until he officially determines which team he’ll suit up with. If he does elect to not play in Big-D, the Mavericks reportedly have their eyes set on Luol Deng and Chandler Parsons.
Mavs, I’m told, determined to run out ground ball on Melo til the end but plan to move quickly onto Chandler Parsons & Luol Deng if snubbed

Deng, an unrestricted free agent may be the easiest to obtain of the two. He has plenty of suitors, but the Mavericks have been listed as a likely destination for the Cleveland Cavalier.
Parson’s future in Houston may be determined by Anthony. If the Rockets believe they have a strong chance in landing Anthony, the Mavericks or another team may be able to force the Rockets hands by signing Parsons to an offer sheet while they wait on Anthony’s decision. Houston has the ability to match any offer for Parsons.
Prior to meeting with Dallas, Anthony spent six-plus hours with the Houston Rockets today. He met with the Chicago Bulls today and will meet with the Los Angeles Lakers tomorrow.
