NBA News: Magic To Trade Arron Afflalo to Nuggets

The NBA offseason has already been a busy one and the West continues to get stronger.

Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that the Orlando Magic will send starting shooting guard Arron Afflalo back to the Denver Nuggets.

In the deal, the Magic will receive Evan Fournier and the 56th pick in today’s draft for Afflalo.

Afflalo, 28, is coming off a career season; he averaged 18.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists this season in Orlando. He holds career averages of 11.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2 assists per game.

He began his career in Detroit after being selected in the round, playing two seasons with the Pistons then playing three in Denver before spending the last two with the Magic.

Fournier, 21, just completed his second season in the NBA. He’s averaged 7.4 points during his short career.

The Mavericks with Tyson Chandler and the proposed New Orleans Pelicans with Omer Asik highlighted yesterday’s day of Western Conference teams improving.
