The NBA Draft is set for Thursday, June 26th. The Dallas Mavericks are without a first round pick but hold the 34th and 51st picks in the second round.
We’ll take a look at some second rounders that could be in the Mavericks sights. As well, we’ll look at some borderline and late first rounders who could slide into the second.
Mitch McGary, Michigan – Sophomore
After a strong showing in the NCAA tournament as a freshman, Mitch McGary elected to return to school over being a possible lottery pick. His decision to stay at school hasn’t only hurt his lotto stock, but there’s a strong possibility he won’t even be a first round selection. McGary can offer the Mavs a big body who will scrap and bang down low as DeJuan Blair did.
