2014 Draft Profile: Isaiah Austin

The NBA Draft is set for Thursday, June 26th. The Dallas Mavericks are without a first round pick but hold the 34th and 51st picks in the second round.

We’ll take a look at some second rounders that could be in the Mavericks sights. As well, we’ll look at some borderline and late first rounders who could slide into the second.

Isaiah Austin, Baylor – Sophomore

The young center could provide the Mavs with plenty of length as a backup at the center and power forward position. With DeJuan Blair and Bernard James hitting free agency, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see Dallas select a big body with one of its two picks.  It’s tough to get a feel on his actual draft slot. Mocks have him from a late first/early second rounder to being undrafted.
