What Grinds My Gears: All Defense Team

Hello all! This is Rami Michail and this is the first installment of “What Grinds My Gears”. Yes, I ripped this off from Family Guy.

Today the NBA announced its All-Defense teams and I couldn’t pick a better time to release this.

The First Team consisted of Paul George, Joakim Noah, Chris Paul, Serge Ibaka, and Andre Iguodala. I can’t really complain about any of these selections, so this is fine.

Second Team honors went to LeBron James, Patrick Beverley, Jimmy Butler, Roy Hibbert, and Kawhi Leonard. Again, not much to complain or go crazy about here.

So what exactly Grinded My Gears?

Mavs own Monta Ellis received a vote! While he does “Have it All”, defense doesn’t exactly make the cut.

What’s worse than Ellis receiving a vote?!

It’s the fact that James Harden netted TWO second team votes. Two!? Are you kidding me!? James “I don’t know what the efff defense is” Harden got two votes!

That guy starring in the above YouTube video got two votes!

I don’t know if I should laugh or yell! So, I’ll do both.

It’s become a norm for Marion to not receive his due credit for his defense. After all, he’s never ONCE been selected to an All Defense Team, but this is just embarrassing when a guy like Harden receives such acknowledgment.

James Harden….
