The Dallas Mavericks have looked for a big catch over the last two offseasons and have had mixed results. They’ve struck out on Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Dwight Howard in the process, but found gold in Monta Ellis.

Jose Calderon, O.J. Mayo, Chris Kaman, DeJuan Blair, and others have headlined the last couple Mavs’ offseasons.

Finishing 49-33, eighth in the West, and with a little over $32 million in cap, Dallas has an opportunity to make some noise to improve a good, but flawed roster.

There are plenty of variables and situations that I can’t control or predict, but I’ll take a swing at running the Mavs.
