Grade The Mavericks: Wayne Ellington

The season is over and all we can do is either look back or look ahead. We’re going to take some time to look back and grade the Dallas Mavericks.

The guy who makes it “Wayne”!

Wayne Ellington: 3.2 points, 42.4% 3-pt, 1 rebound

Ace Feltman (@MFFeLtman)F- Where. The. Hell. Were. You?! Fans were practically begging to be able to tweet more #MakeItWayne’s but the strictly floor spacing jump shooter out of North Carolina was not to be found. In the end his minutes went to Jae Crowder. Probably my most disappointing Maverick of 2013-2014.

Brian Gosset (@Gosset41): F Had his moments, but just didn’t see him enough.

Bailey Rogers (@BRogers789): C+ I honestly don’t remembering seeing much of Ellington. I’m not entirely sure why Carlisle wasn’t more willing to give him some PT, especially when Vince or Crowder would struggle. I hope to see more of him next season.

Jose De Leon (@JoseOfLion06): F— Wait…Wayne Ellington played for the Mavs this season? Was this common knowledge? But seriously, Ellington wins the award for best disappearing act on the team this season. I in no way thought he’d be a major contributor but I did fully expect him to knock down a meaningful three here and there. His stats page claims he made 55 shots this season. I don’t remember a single one.

How do you grade Wayne's first season with the Mavs?
