The Dallas Mavericks will have the 34th and the 51st picks in this years draft.
They’ve already began the draft process and have scheduled a work out on June 12th with former Louisville forward Chane Behanan.
Behanan, 21, was kicked off of Louisville’s basketball team due to violations of team drug rules early into his Junior season. He enrolled into Colorado State University and was expected to play with the team but opted to declare for the draft instead.
Prior to being removed from the team, Behanan enjoyed plenty of success with the Cardinals. As a freshman, he averaged 9.5 points and 7.6 rebounds, helping the team reach the Final Four.
He averaged 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds for the 2013 NCAA Champions during his Sophomore season.
As a 6’7″ power forward, Behanan was one of the NCAA’s best offensive rebounders.
Last season the Mavericks took a chance on Ricky Ledo, who was declared ineligible during his year at Providence, so this isn’t unmarked territory for the team.
