For the Dallas Mavericks to win game 2, they’d need big nights from their roster. Safe to say in their 113-92 win over the top seeded San Antonio Spurs, they got it.
Monta Ellis: 21 points (8-20), 3 assists, and 3 steals. Monta did “have it all”. He was in constant attack mode. He finished at the basket, took care of the ball, and hit timely shots.
DeJuan Blair: 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Not the most impressive stat line, but his energy and effort were huge.
Devin Harris: 18 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds. You can officially label him the “Spurs Killer”.
Dirk Nowitzki: 16 points (7-19), 5 rebounds, 2 steals. Came out cold but was able to turn it around; he hit 7 of his final 12 shots.
Shawn Marion: 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals. Had a quiet, but great game. Was a positive for the Mavs on both sides of the court.
Manu Ginobili: 27 points (9-12), 6 turnovers, and 4 assists. Almost single-handlely had the Spurs in the game. Was hitting shots, getting to the basket, and flopping as if he was 27 years old.
