Game 1 gave the San Antonio Spurs a 1-0 series lead. The Dallas Mavericks squandered a 10 point lead. They would scored just four points in the last 7+ minutes in the 90-85 heartbreak.
Devin Harris: Harris was the only Mavericks player who could make a shot. When he checked in, he gave the Mavericks a much-needed scoring boost, as they Mavs were in danger of scoring under 10 points to end the first quarter. He finished 19 points and 5 assists.
Tony Parker: We all knew he was going to attack the Mavericks defense. And, we all knew the Mavericks would have no real answer for him. Game one justified our thought as he put up 21 points and 6 assists.
Tim Duncan: Both teams are going to need big games from their future Hall-of-Famers. One team got it and the other didn’t. Duncan had a vintage game; finishing with a game high 27 points to go with his 7 rebounds.
Has to be the Timmy D. He impacted both sides of the court and was huge in the Spurs 4th quarter comeback.
