Team "Have It All" Makes History For Mavericks

For the Dallas Mavericks to secure a playoff spot, they would need big games from their two best players.

And they got it.

Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis are the first Mavericks’ teammates to ever lock Western Conference player of the week honors for back to back weeks.

Nowitzki won the award first last week (March 31th-April 6th) averaging 25.3 points and 8 rebounds. Ellis followed it up this past week (April 7th-April13th) by averaging 25.7 points and 4.7 assists per game.

Over the two weeks, the duo has averaged 44.3 points game, shouldering the Mavericks offense as they have all season.

Most importantly, the Mavericks went 5-2 during the two-week stretch, which allowed them to lock up a playoff spot after the biggest win of the season against the Phoenix Susn.

Team “Have It All” has finished the season strong, and with the playoffs around the corner, the Mavericks will need both of them to continue their strong play.
