Vince Carter Moves Up NBA Scoring List

The man formerly known as “Half Man-Half Amazing” is still putting up points.

Vince Carter, 37, has passed Elgin Baylor (23,149 points) on the NBA’s All-Time scoring list for 26th.

Midway through the third quarter, the Dallas Mavericks’ 6th man hit back-to-back 3s to give the Mavericks the lead and give him 17 points for the game and his 23,151th career point.

Carter would end the game with just those 17 points in the Mavericks 93-91 win.

No longer the high flyer, Carter has gotten it done for the Mavericks by becoming a deadly 3pt shooter.

He is averaging 12 points and shooting 39.4% from 3 this season and has made a strong case to win 6th man of the year honors.

For his career, he’s averaged 20.2 points, playing for the Mavericks, Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, and New Jersey Nets.
