Washington Wizards acquire Andre Miller in 3-team trade

The Washington Wizards have finally got their backup point guard.

The Wizards have acquired point guard Andre Miller from the Denver Nuggets in a 3-team trade.

The Philadelphia 76ers were brought in to be the third team.

The Nuggets will acquire forward Jan Vesley from the Wizards.

The Wizards will send free agent bust point guard Eric Maynor and a second round draft picks to the 76ers. The Nuggets will send one of their own second round picks to the 76ers as well.

Miller requested a trade from the team after he was sent home for conduct detrimental to the team.

Miller has averaged 5.9 points and 3.3 assists in 30 games this season.

This is the second trade of the day for the 76ers. They sent starting center Spencer Hawes to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Earl Clark and two second round picks.
