The key pieces would be Tayshaun Prince and possibly Tony Allen of the Grizzlies and Chase Budinger and Jose Barea of the Wolves.
Both teams are currently on the outside looking in of the Western Conference playoff picture.
The Grizzlies continue to look for outside shooting, which would explain interest in Budinger.
The Wolves, a team that has no problem putting points up, could really use the help on the defensive side of the ball.
Budinger has appeared in just 19 games this season due to a knee injury. He’s averaged 6.1 points while shooting 35.9% from 3.
Barea would add some depth at the point guard spot behind Mike Conley. He’s averaged 8.7 points in 18.2 minutes of action.
Prince has had a down year, explaining why the Grizzlies want to trade the remaining years of his contract. He’s averaged just 6.1 points on 39.2% shooting
Allen, who is currently out ((hand), has averaged 10.0 points to go with his energy and defense that he constantly supplies.
