The Dallas Mavericks (31-22) saw their winning streak end against the Charlotte Bobcats (23-29) 114-89.

The game was all Bobcats and so will this recap be.

Living Inside: The Bobcats totaled 60 points inside. Big part of that was to the post dominance of Al Jefferson, who tallied 30 points (14-23) and 8 rebounds.

Team Ball: The Bobcats combined to set a team record 42 assists. Josh McRoberts led the way with a career high 13 assists, Kemba Walker (9) and Ramon Sessions (8) also had great assist numbers. Great floor spacing, off-ball movement and some bad defense led to such a high assist number. Only three Bobcat buckets were not assisted.

Hot Shooting: The number 21 3-pt shooting team sure didn’t look like it. The Bobcats combined to shoot 12-24 (50%) from 3. Anthony Tolliver was a big influence as he shot 5-10 from 3 on his way to a 22 point night.

Defense: The Bobcats held the league’s number seven scoring team to just 89 points as they also allowed just 45% shooting.

With no day off and facing the Indiana Pacers, the All-Star Break may not be as uplifting as it was shaping up to be.
