The Los Angeles Lakers just can’t keep their roster intact and healthy.
After Steve Nash, Steve Blake, and Jordan Farmar returned to action, Jodie Meeks and Jordan Hill were immediately injured and inactive against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The injuries didn’t end there.
According to reports, the Lakers will be without leading scorer and fan favorite Nick “Swaggy P” Young for at least two weeks.
Young suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left patella in the 119-108 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Lakers are already without top players Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol and are missing key players Xavier Henry and Meeks for the time being.
The Lakers will bring back Shawne Williams on a 10-day contract. Williams averaged 5.2 points and shot 32.7% from 3 in 32 games (11 starts).
Young has averaged 16.9 points on 41.9% shooting.
Though Farmar returned last night, his time on the court was limited as it seemed he may have re-aggravated his injury.
The Lakers have not had a single player active for every game this season.
It comes to no surprise now whenever a Lakers player suffers an injury.
