The San Antonio Spurs announced that starting small forward Kawhi Leonard will be out 3-4 weeks.
He left last night’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder after suffering a non-displaced fracture of his right fourth metacarpal.
Though Leonard hasn’t taken that next step many expected, he still has been a key piece of rate Spurs’ success.
The Spurs are already without starting center Tiago Splitter and shooter Danny “Icy-Hot” Green.
Splitter may be able to return in the next week or two, while Green’s return may be more down the road.
Leonard is averaging 11.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game.
