Kevin Durant Drops Career High 54 Points

The NBA’s leading scorer Kevin Durant sure put on a show tonight, as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Golden State Warriors 127-121 tonight.

Durant put up a career-high 54 points while shooting 19-28 from the field, 5-9 from 3, and 11-13 from the free throw line.

This is the third career 50+ point game of his career. He previously dropped 51 on the Denver Nuggets and 52 on the Dallas Mavericks.

Coming into the game Durant was leading the league with his 30 point per game average.

Durant has scored 30+ points in 10 of his last 12 games, which including scoring outburst of his 54 points tonight and two 48 point performances.

Steph Curry added 37 points on 11-18 shooting, but it just wasn’t enough to take down Durant and the Thunder.
