After trading little used backup big man Joel Anthony today, the Miami Heat have activated center Greg Oden against the Washington Wizards.

Oden has not played in a regular season game since December 5, 2009.

Oden was drafted number one overall by  the Portland Trialblazers in the 2007 draft.

For his career, Oden has played in a total of just 82 games as he’s battled constant knee issues.  He’s averaged 9.4 points and 7.3 rebounds for his career.

The Heat have also been linked to Andrew Bynum; if Oden can prove to be healthy, it may lead to the heat not further pursuing him.
