The New Orleans Pelicans will be without leading scoring and stretch forward Ryan Anderson for at least 2 months.
Anderson was told to rest for the next 2 months, then doctors will be able to determine if he will require surgery for his herniated disk.
The Pelicans, currently at 15-21, have lost 5 straight games with Anderson out of the lineup.
Anderson was injured on January 3rd against the Boston Celtics when he collided with the Celtics’ Gerald Wallace. He was carter off the court, but not till he was laying on the court for about 5 minutes.
On the season, Anderson has averaged 19.8 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 40.9% from 3.
