Carmelo Anthony And DeMarcus Cousins Win NBA Players Of The Week

The NBA announced that New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony (East) and Sacramento Kings’ DeMarcus Cousins (West) have won the NBA Players of the Week honors for the week of January 5-12, 2014.

Carmelo averaged 25 points and 7 rebounds as the Knick went a perfect 4-0 for the week. Melo put up 34 points on the Detroit Pistons, then followed it up with a 29 point, 8 rebound, and 5 assist game over the Miami Heat.

Cousins led the Kings to a 3-0 week, as he was averaging 25 points and 12.7 rebounds. His 35 points and 13 rebound game against the Portland Trailblazers highlighted his week.
