Poll: Should Dallas Mavericks Consider Andrew Bynum

Update: Reports are that Mavericks are 1 of 8 teams interested in Bynum. Bynum may make decision by end of week.

After being dealt along with draft picks from the Cleveland Cavaliers for Luol Deng, the Chicago Bulls have waived center Andrew Bynum.

In 24 games for the Cavs, Bynum has averaged 8.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks while shooting 41.9 % from the field in 20 minutes.

Bynum holds career averages of 11.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks.

The Dallas Mavericks currently have Samuel Dalembert, Brandan Wright, DeJuan Blair, and Bernard James at the center position.

    I think so. A presence like his is very rare in this league and we desperately need a player like him to man the middle. If there’s a low risk low cost deal to be made, I’m taking the chance on him working well with Dirk and Carlisle and co.
