NBA: Kyrie Irving Having MRI Today On Left Knee

It was a scary site for Cleveland Cavaliers fans watching their young star guard Kyrie Irving go down in the third quarter last night. Irving went in for a layup when he felt something was wrong and had to be carried off the court.

When I went back it still didn’t feel right. I thought the worst happened. I felt something pop in my knee. I was falling down around all over the place. It was a painful experience. I was praying to God everything was OK. I just have to hope for the best. We’ll see what’s going on.

Irving finished the game with 10 points in a loss to the Indiana Pacers 91-76. He had a goal to try to play all 82 games this season after many have called him injury prone. Cleveland has been the subject of trade rumors about Andrew Bynum since he was dismissed from team activities. They will be hoping for a good outcome from Irving’s MRI or it may influence what trade they make.
