Dallas Mavericks Get Torched In Phoenix Suns 123-108

Dallas entered their a back-to-back game against the Phoenix Suns hoping not to be fatigued from their overtime loss to the Toronto Raptors. Unfortunately, the Suns burned up-and-down the court beating the Mavs 123-108.

When the Suns were not blowing by defenders, they were shooting 50% from the three-point line hitting a season high 15 three’s in 30 shots. The Mavs only lead in the game was 2-0 in the opening minutes. Tonight was also the Suns highest scoring game for the season.

Eric Beldsoe led all scorers with 25 points including 3-of-4 from deep. Gerald Green came off the bench to score 22 points including 4-of-8 from the arc.

Dirk Nowitzki missed his first five shots and finished the game only 7-of-17 from the field with 21 points. Brandan Wright and Monta Ellis contributed 19 points each.Vince Carter ended his scoring drought from last night with 14 points tonight. Dirk:

The team’s “out of gas” play continued for a second night. They were not able to close-out on shooters and allowed a season high 123 points.

After two straight losses the Mavericks fall to 15-12. They have lost four of the last six games and will have to travel to Houston to face Dwight Howard, James Harden, and the Rockets on Monday.

Game Notes: Phoenix improves to 16-10 and 6th in the Western Conference standings. Mark Cuban labeled the Suns the surprise team of the season. Dallas was outscored at the three-point line 45-9
