Free Agent Center List Limited for Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks only have one center on the current roster, second-year player Bernard James. They decided not to offer Andrew Bynum a contract and now will have limited options to sign a free agent center.

James played sparingly in the 2013-13 season and is very undersized for the position. The Mavericks would like to have more options available, but the list of centers does not get fans excited about the teams chances to return to the playoffs. It would seem like a forgone conclusion that Brandan Wright returns as a forward-center option.

Here is the list of free agent centers still available: Samuel Dalembert, Cole Aldrich, Timofey Mozgov, Joel Pryzbilla, DeSagana Diop, Jason Collins, DeJuan Blair, Ronny Turiaf

Several reports are linked the Mavs to possibly signing Samuel Dalembert. DeSagana Diop, former Maverick, was in spotted in Dallas last week.

The wild card option still available in the NBA is one-time number one draft pick Greg Oden. Oden has been plagued with chronic knee problems, but has been diligent in making a return to the court.
