Well the Bulls weren’t expecting to be mediocre but Mavs fans were hoping for a little better too…

The Chicago Bulls are about as frustrated as the Dallas Mavericks.  With Derek Rose out they have been about a .500 team instead of the title contender one would expect.   The Bulls have something to prove also.  While the Mavs were coming off a blowout loss to the Lakers before playing the 76ers, the Bulls blew a 27-point lead and lost to the Milwaukee Bucks by a point on Monday night.

The Bulls shoot less than 44% as a team and are even worse from downtown at 29%.  They’re a decent defensive team and the matchup with Dallas will feature a better offense (Dallas) vs. a decent defense with two poor performers on the flip side.  Dallas is outrebounded more than any other team in the league and now ranks 28th defensively.

Luol Deng leads the Bulls averaging 17.2 ppg, the first of 5 players averaging 11 points or better.  Joachim Noah and Carlos Boozer are both also averaging almost 10 rebounds.

Without Derek Rose the Bulls are an average team but the way the Mavericks have played inconsistently, no one can be taken lightly.  If they can perform at least as well as they did against the 76ers sans the turnovers it should be a good game.
