Rest in peace Robert Traylor

Robert Traylor in happier times

Yesterday it was reported that former Michigan star, and former Cav, Hornet, and Buck, was found dead.  He, being 34 years old, died far too young the victim of a massive heart attack.  While Traylor never stepped on the court wearing a Mavericks jersey, his impact on the team will last forever.  Why you ask?  Check it out after the jump.

With the sixth pick in the 1998, Traylored was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks.  Within minutes of announcing the selection, the rights to Traylor were traded to the Milwaukee Bucks for a young, unproven European prospect named Dirk Nowitzki.  The rest, as they say, is history.  Traylor showed flashes of his immense potential through his brief NBA career but never was able to live up to the high expectations.  Despite having some troubles, Traylor seemed to have his life headed in the right direction when his heart gave out.  Check out this article to learn more about Traylor’s life.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
