I love to see one of the games greatest all around players doing well, but at the same time I am cursing this man’s name. For the first three weeks of the season this man was not playing good basketball. His point total looks half way decent because of a 19 point effort against Utah, but points are not what you look to this man for.
J Kidd is known in fantasy circles as being a guy that does not screw up much. There may be plenty of games where he scores 9, has 7 boards, and 8 assist, but he also did not miss many shots, turn the ball over, or commit many fouls. That translates into decent fantasy points.
During the first three weeks he earned my team 41, 46, and 69; I traded his behind for Brendan Haywood. Boy am I kicking myself now.
Since than the perennial all-star has exploded. He was a point away from getting the triple double against the Bucks and he has continued his stellar play in the games since. On Thanksgiving Eve he moved into second place on the all-time career assist list (only about 5000 behind the Utah legend, John Stockton).
The winning streak may have ended against Golden State the night before, but Jason Kidd has proven why he is one of the best guards in the league and the Mavericks serious contenders.
It figures tht as soon as you trade a star he starts playing like one again. Serves me right for losing the faith.
Keep kicking #@! J Kidd; you da man.
