Dallas Mavericks 2009 – 2010 Season Preview

This is part 2 of a 4 part series I will be writing evaluating the upcoming Dallas Mavericks season and boldly, quite boldly, predicting what their record will be after the 27 game stretches (29 to be exact in part 4).

Here is the first stretch of games for the Dallas Mavericks -

27-Oct Wash (Win)

30-Oct @LAL (Loss)

31-Oct @LAC (Win)

3-Nov Utah (Win)

4-Nov @NO (Loss)

7-Nov Tor (Win)

10-Nov Hou (Win)

11-Nov @SA (Loss)

13-Nov @Min (Win)

15-Nov @Det (Win)

16-Nov @Mil (Win)

18-Nov SA (Win)

20-Nov Sac (Win)

24-Nov GS (Loss)

25-Nov @Hou (Loss)

27-Nov @Ind (Win)

28-Nov @Cle (Loss)

30-Nov Phi (Win)

2-Dec @NJ (Win)

4-Dec @Mem (Win)

5-Dec Atl (Win)

8-Dec Pho (Win)

11-Dec @Mia (Win)

12-Dec Char (Win)

14-Dec NO (Win)

16-Dec @OKC (Loss)

18-Dec Hou (Win)

The first stretch of games is very manageable for the Dallas Mavericks. With 13 home games and 14 away games the road could be rocky, but the majority of the road games are quite winnable with the Clippers, Timberwolves, Bucks, Pacers, Nets, Grizzlies, Heat & Thunder being 50% of the slate. Home games against the Wizards, Raptors, Rockets (x2), Kings, 76ers, Hawks, Suns & Bobcats also bodes well for the team. So after 27 games I foresee the Mavs being around the record of 20-7 which would be a very strong start to the season! I know I won’t predict each game correctly, but I also made sure I predicted losses to the Thunder, Rockets & Warriors to compensate for my predictions of victory.

Part 2 will be posted tomorrow! Hopefully it will be as full of victories as part 1!
